Live Object Sketching is an artistic activity where participants draw real-life objects in real-time, capturing their form, texture, and perspective. This practice enhances observational skills, hand-eye coordination, and artistic expression. It is commonly used in art competitions, workshops, and academic studies to develop realistic drawing techniques.
Rules
- Use of Reference – No. of Participants should be 1 from each team, Must sketch only from the live object provided; no external references allowed.
- Time Limit – A fixed duration of 4.5 hours will be given to complete the sketch with Shading.
- Medium – A good quality of GSM Paper required so Ivory papers is best for this activity,Allowed materials may include pencils, charcoal, ink, or other dry media; watercolor or digital tools not be permitted.
- Originality – The sketch must be an original representation of the object without tracing or copying from images.
- Perspective & Composition – Artists may choose different angles but should maintain proportional accuracy.
- No External Assistance – Use of projectors, grids, or tracing methods is prohibited.
- Submission Guidelines – The sketch must be submitted within the given time frame, and judges will evaluate based on accuracy, shading, creativity, and overall execution.
