Participants must create and edit a short film using AI tools as part of the workflow. The goal is to explore how artificial intelligence can enhance storytelling, editing, visuals, or audio in short filmmaking. Creativity and ethical AI use are key!

AI USAGE SCOPE
- Participants are encouraged to incorporate AI in any part of the post-production/editing process, such as:
- AI-assisted video editing (e.g., Adobe Sensei, Runway ML)
- AI-generated backgrounds or visual effects
- AI-powered voiceovers, sound design, or music (e.g., ElevenLabs, AIVA, Soundraw)
- Generative imagery, provided it’s edited into live or animated footage
- AI color grading or motion tracking
Important
- Do not use AI to fully generate the film. At least 50% of the visuals (footage or animation) must be created or shot by the participant.
- AI must enhance, not replace the creative process.
SOFTWARE ALLOWED
- You may use any editing or AI software, including but not limited to:
- Editing: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, HitFilm, iMovie
- AI Tools: Runway ML, Pika Labs, Kaiber, D-ID, Synthesia, Adobe Firefly, Lumen5, AIVA, ChatGPT (for scripting), ElevenLabs, etc.
VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
- Length: 1 to 3 minutes (including title/credits).
- Format: MP4, 16:9 or 9:16 (depending on your creative direction).
- Resolution: Minimum 720p; 1080p preferred.
- Audio: Optional but encouraged. Use royalty-free or AI-generated music/sound.
- Language: Any language allowed. English subtitles required if not in English.
